Interesting thread. I have a Continental made 1935 Silvertone tombstone, so this was of particular interest. I've often looked-up manufacturers addresses and, amazingly, a lot of the old buildings remain. A few even still had the painted names faded on the brick façade!

I wouldn't give up...got to be some other photos out there, maybe in obscure publications. You might see something like "Plumber's Times" running an ad for American-Standard showing a photo of an Admiral plant and bragging about the new toilets they just installed, or some such.

I do remember reading a good history of the company in the MAARC newsletter (Radio Age) and they mentioned that, when they decided to go into manufacturing color picture tubes, they had to remove the roof from the plant and build up.

They, like Motorola should've stayed out of the CRT business! :thumbsdn:
