Show us your novelty radios!

Once transistor radio technology became common, this opened the door for making a wide variety of "novelty" radios. Many were made for companies as advertisment for their products... such as the "Coke Can" radio made for Coca Cola. Others weren't advertising anything... they were just intended to be different by shape. Radios such as this are quite collectible.

The radio i have here was found at a flea market, and I really have no idea what the idea was behind it. It's a General Electric model P2760C. It's a 9v AM radio with a little blue light inside the middle.

When I found it, the phrase "Attention K-Mart shoppers" went through my head since K-Mart used to have what they called "Blue Light Specials" on a regular basis. I doubt that this radio was intended to remind us of K-Mart, but that was always what I thought of concerning this set.
