Panasonic Model Prefixes

Does anyone know what each prefix meant for Panasonic sets in the ‘80s and ‘90s? I’ve scoured Google, Groups, and Books but still cannot find any distinction between CT-XXX, CTN-XXX, and CTP-XXX. Some of them even share the same remote. Some of the CTPs and CTNs are Panasonic PRISM, while others don’t appear to be.

All I’ve been able to tell is SF=SuperFlat.

I think CTP stood for Color Television Prism. We had one that was labeled 'prism' series on the owners manual. I google Panasonic Prism TV and found this. I don't know if this link will work or not. This is from Pop Sci January 1992 pg. 29

Interesting, but it feels like there are CTN sets that are also prism, and CTP sets that are not prism.

I’ve also discovered another type of set from Panasonic in the early ‘90s called monitor/receiver. What makes this set different from a regular one? For example, one (CTP-1956R) has regular AV inputs but mono sound with one speaker. Were these sold for broadcast/closed circuit purposes? What were these for?

So does anyone know anything about these so-called “monitor/receivers” from Panasonic? I can’t find anything on them online. Who were they sold to? They’re labeled as such in the manual, but seem to be the same as other Panasonic TVs of the era in every other way.

I figured it out, it was simply a marketing gimmick from the late '80s and early '90s for a small high quality display.

Here is a good resource.
