Found a Panasonic TR-1030P Micro TV

2 Attachment(s)
Picked this up a little while ago at the Thrift. It was hanging on a board mixed in with the wall warts and video cables, I found the power supply hanging on the same board, it was easy to pick out because the connector looks like a standard 12v connector with the sides flattened out.

Tried it at the store and it came right on, it's kind of beat up but it's not broken anywhere and the battery compartment is clean.
Running it off the B-T Modulator and it works perfectly.

It's basically a Camcorder viewfinder with a tuner added, I wish it was the CT-101 Color version but for $8 I can't complain, maybe someday I can build a dollhouse sized 621 or 630 using this set for the guts. :D

Nice deal.I love these small sets.I have the CT-101 here but its not working. There was screw rolling around in it and it shorted something out and it has a vertical line on the CRT..

Correction on the model number, it's a TR-1030P, not a CT-1030.
Guessing CT means Color Television and TR means Television Receiver?

Someone I know who makes a hobby of visiting thrifts gave me a working Panasonic TR-001 with power adapter that he got for a song.

I have a few of these small Panasonic sets with collapsed vertical as well. My bet is that they have bad electrolyte capacitors in the vertical sweep section, could be an easy fix... it you can work on them!

Never have understood their thinking on the color version-It was sort of a "primo" product, yet the case will break on you, if you look at it cross-eyed. Relatively easy to amass yrself a reasonable collection of the B/W versions. And I think a lot of 'em have almost "Zero" usage on 'em. Collapsed raster seems to be a common problem-apparently, the caps they used weren't much punkin', either..

I have the one that has a built-in AM/FM/FM Stereo Receiver that I picked up at Goodwill for like $2 and some change although I have no idea if it works or not because it didn't come with its original power cord and its battery pack was missing, so mine is kind of dead at the moment until I can locate either an AC Adaptor for it or a battery pack for it (whichever is cheaper on fleabay), also the tip of the antenna is broke off so the antenna is stuck in the collapsed position for right now.

Any voltage/terminal specs printed on it? If there are then you might be able to jury rig it to run off a wall wart to confirm it is good.

I have one of these micro sets. Has raster and noisy sound but no snow, I looked up trouble shooting, might be in the IF section of the tuner. this set is so small I'm not inclined to take it apart. I just use it for display along with my other small tvs.

Are you just using the antenna trying to receive a station? Or are you transmitting a signal via a modulator? As you probably know, most if not all analog TV is gone and it is digital. I apologize if you already knew that.

I too have a CT-101 but have not tried it yet.

Oh I've had about 6 of those little sets and the best one that stood the test of time and almost always worked was the 1030 , the 1010 and the 1020 with the am,fm radio were no good the humidity always corroded the traces. I've got them going with several jumpers but it never lasted as other parts of the board went bad and I gave up. I have one 1030 and a 1020 that still work , the 1020 needed jumpers but works.

There's an Optimus 2" LCD on Columbus CL right now, for $20.
(Not mine, no relation, etc.) Put it here because of the tiny TV-centric thread.
Can move if needed...
