RCA Selectavision model SJT-090 problem.
Makes a sound when plugged in and flashes the letter "L". Putting a disc in does nothing. Is this a belt off? If so, how do i get to it? Can't see anything from the top.

Does the disk stay in like it should, after you pull the sleeve out?

Well, i noticed the door was never closed from the beginning. While cleaning, i decided to rotate the white gear in the back right corner next to the fuse. Doing that closes the door and changes other things. Couldn't get it to load on its own and was real hard to get to sleeve to pull out once it was all the way in. Finally got sleeve pulled out leaving disc inside. disc was slightly forward maybe a thirty second of an inch. tapped back and centered on post. Hit play and started movie and actually played great. What's wrong with the loading/unloading sequence?? Seems like timing issue or a sensor. Any ideas?

That's great that you were able to get a disk to stay in place and play!
I really know nothing about the auto load/unload mechanism.... mine was an earlier manual load model with a lever on the front. hopefully, somebody here will have knowledge of the later auto load models. jr |
Nice to hear that your machine plays video OK. That means its stylus is good.

Take a look at http://www.cedmagic.com/home/technic...tion-page.html and maybe there's a solution to your problem there.

I was just about to post there too. I'll check that out.

Looked closer and found a missing belt in the back left. All is well now. Working 100%.
