Vintage TV needs onsite service in Boston area

I've painted myself into a bit of a corner, and I'm hoping maybe one of you can help me out. Last year, I refurbished a 1947 Motorola VK 101 antique TV/radio console for an acquaintance. It's been working well for about 6 months, but now it is having some issues. This time, it may be an easy fix - I don't know yet. But sooner or later it will need serious attention.

It required professional movers to bring it to my shop for refurbishing, and then to the owner's dental office, where he has been displaying it to patients. So, simply bringing it back to my shop for repair is not an easy option, and I really don't have the time or proper tools to repair it onsite.

Do any of you know of someone who would be willing to professionally service such an old TV onsite in the Boston area? Thanks! Doug

I was from the area (Acton). Everyone I knew is either dead or moved
to N.H. & retired. I know of nobody left but there may be one.

You could post pix of the problem & we can see if its something you
can try in house. You can also pull the chassis to fix it. If the CRT is chassis mounted you get the weight well under 100 lbs. If the CRT is separate
you can get a small test CRT to use

Good luck

Looks like a small 10" combo with a radio below the TV.... can't be more than 150 lbs assembled. If I was in your shoes I just pull the chassis...If he needs the cabinet gone too just bring it along. Most console sets of the ERA the cabinet was 20-40 lbs (piece of cake) empty and the TV chassis 40-85lbs, and the radio chassis table radio weight.
