Studebaker Radio?..
Someone on FB marketplace has an old radio for sale. Says it's a Studebaker. I doubt it...

Since Studebaker never made radios (their car radios were made by Delco) my guess, if the name begins with S, would be Silvertone (or perhaps Sparton) :thmbsp:

Besides you would never fit that in a Hawk :D

Stewart Warner, Studebaker. Eh, close enough.

I saw that radio too on FB Marketplace, I thought about grabbing it (its about an hour from me) but then I saw the price they wanted for it (they wanted almost $400) and I passed on it.
I'm not sure how they got Studebaker from Stewart Warner... |
Sometimes it's hard to tell rutabaga from Studebaker, phonetically:headscrat

Interesting fun factoid: The Studebaker Brothers who started the Studebaker company were German Baptist Brethren (now called Church of the Brethren, or Covenant Brethren depending on which branch you belong to since the 2019 split in the church) and because of that they were pascifists and unfortunately that was what lead to them leaving the company because the other branch of their family that was involved in the company were Methodists and didn't care much about the GBB Church's peace stance and cared more about the money and the fact that they could make money manufacturing wagons and other equipment for the Civil War, which lead to the Studebaker Brothers departure from the Studebaker Company.
