Filmed inside a combustion chamber!

Here is a film made inside an actual operating four stroke engine. The film is looped several times, but it cuts off just before the end of the exhaust stroke. Fascinating to actually see what goes on in there!

That is pretty neat. Wonder why they don't show the exhaust stroke?

Man, that's cool. Got to wonder how that camera was set up in there.

Very interesting! I wasn't expecting an orange flame, for some reason. Guess the "Blue Flame Six" really was just ad jargon!

That's exactly what it was. I would guess that the only true "blue flame" engines are those that run on propane.

Blue *is* correct, the small amount of yellow might indicate a "rich" area in the chamber.

The flame's colour tells you the richness of the air/fuel ratio. A yellow flame means a rich mixture and a blueish white flame a weaker mixture. Usually a bunsen blue flame is spot on.
