1980 TV Commercial for Blewski's TV in Rochester NY, advertising reconditioned color TVs for $89 and up, some with 30 day warranty.

Also, Blewski's hat on ebay (no connection)

Audio isn't very clear, but sounds like Culver between Norton and Keeler Expressway to me?

Just noticed that they show the address, 2334 Culver, on a TV set, and it looks like they did it with a slide inserted in their B&K analyst, which is seen in a later shot.

Edit: looking closer, I'm not so sure they did it with the B&K rather than some artwork at the TV studio.

Here's the location on Google street view.

Doh - just realized this belongs in rectangular - if a mod can move it, thank you very much!

Cool commercial.

I bet the color roundie on the showroom floor was the one that could have been bought for $89.
Where is my time machine?

Holy crap! Look at all those vacuum tube color TVs-Gotta have all of these-whoa!

Whoa, treasure! I'll have everything other than the roundies (I think I see part of one more) and the B&Ws. Lots of collectors after those so it's win-win.

I could have been one of those guys. Trying to pick winners and losers would get old. You could have a lot of hours into an $89 special like a portacolor and only clean the tuner on a Zenith chroma color that would fetch almost 200

I swear I was the only fan of roundies in the late 70s. I worked on quite a few of them bought this way. Bad flys were the final curtain for them though:sigh:

Even those I'm interested in could be a lot more popular in a couple of decades, who knows. In the meantime, the more obscurities I can get my hands on the better.
