Hello from Tennessee

Newbie on the forum here. Been in Electronics and communications since 1959. Worked on all kinds of equipment; 2 way radio, communication equipment in telephone offices, etc, broadcast radio, and currently part time as a copy tech and printer repairman. Worked for CSX railroad in radio repair shops for 36 years.

I have a few old radios I like. 3 or 4 old shortwave radios. I like test equipment. But, hey I'm retired now at 76 but just can't lay my hand tools down yet. The forum looks very interesting.

Welcome. Where are you located in Tennessee? I am in Jackson, have been in electronics for 40 years and I am currently a full time copier tech and printer repairman.

hello

I live in Bruceton off hwy 70. I work for R&R Copier occasionally. Sounds like you've been in the business quite a long time. I've repaired a lot of Motorola Two way radios in my stint at L&N / CSX. Installed a lot of different kinds of equipment as well. Finished up my career the last three years in Nashville at Radnor yard. The RR is more high tech than most imagine.

I did repair work there in Bructon for awhile. Garry and I had a recording studio downtown there. I now work for Dex imaging as a field service tech.

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum myself but I am relocating to the Nashville area.

Can anyone here refer me to someone local that could restore my TV sets?

Mostly Zenith consoles from the 60's. I am learning to do small stuff but would love a full restore on at least one or two of my sets (I have almost 10).

Thanks!
