rca production number to part number cross
for example i have a 1456502-501 also on it is 2747024-3. is there a cross somewhere that crosses it to rca part number?
thanks Doug |
RCA drawing number 1456502-501 crosses to RCA part number 130093, also, Thordarson number FLY-439. It's a flyback transformer used in RCA chassis CTC-41 and CTC-42, 16 inch hybrid portables.

Thank you
It's been awhile since I cross these. I remember crosses on microfiche. I could not think of the correct name of drawing number. Was there a cross to model numbers from rca or was that yours or someone else that created that cross? The other number is that date code and other info? Thanks Doug |
Yes, the 274 is RCAs EIA? code number, 70 probably means 1970, 24 may be the week of and 3 is the day of the week. I have a drawing number to RCA part number catalog. Last week I looked up several flyback numbers for a friend who came into a stash on NOS RCA flybacks and I remember finding what chassis went with what transformers by checking service information parts lists.

The 274 is the EIA code for RCA so RCA BUILT that part. " Drawing" numbers are on big parts such as FBT's. Most end in -501 but I never figured out any pattern with them. We did have a paper cross for drawing to 6 digit part ## Other numbers were used like KRK for tuners, CTC color chassis, M for modules & other sub assys. In the end the 6 digit ## is the start for finding parts. 73 Zeno:smoke: LFOD ! |
