Anyone need Sams?

I just got two.....whole....van....loads. You can't really tell, but it's packed four stacks deep.....

:para:

Chip Chester 05-24-2016 01:27 PM

If that's a "serious" question, looking for 77-3 for a Bell 2122 audio amp. (Not 2122A, B or C, just 2122).
I think I see it -- driver's side, stack 3, second file from the bottom. It's the tan one.

You're fortunate that folks are pitching traditional file cabinets left and right. It'll probably take about 6 of 'em to hold all that.

Chip

Kamakiri 05-24-2016 04:57 PM

I actually ordered 20 banker's boxes from Office Depot, they'll be in tomorrow. Thank God!

I'm completely serious. I just went through the 700s, 800s, and 900s and have 6 banana boxes full of doubles

I'll be glad to see if I have yours once I get down to the low numbers. Anyone else?

Electronic M 05-24-2016 06:16 PM

Got a copy of 1300-2 ?

More may come to mind.

Kamakiri 05-24-2016 07:42 PM

Unfortunately no....the numbers are pretty full right up till about 1200, and then they get really spotty.

user181 05-24-2016 10:49 PM

I'd be interested in 1223-2 if by chance you have it.

Do you have '526-SED'?

Kamakiri 05-25-2016 10:54 AM

Skips from 1215 to 1281.....

I should have folder 526 easily, but what's "SED"?

WISCOJIM 05-25-2016 11:08 AM

"Special Equipment Data reprinted from the manufacturer (usually a schematic only)."

These were like an additional newsletter included in some sets to add circuit changes or to cover equipment that Sam's themselves never did a folder on.

.

colectorad 06-15-2016 02:50 AM

I'm still interested. What's the status?

Kamakiri 06-15-2016 07:04 AM

Much to my shock, I have 525 and 527....526 is missing

colectorad 06-17-2016 09:56 PM

:( I'll have to go with a nearest neighbor.

Do you have '221-7'?

'304-10' or '153-8' Might also work, depending on the chassis series covered.

madRad45 06-18-2016 12:00 PM

Colectorad, I have a full 526 set. The "Photofact Servicer" sheet includes a schematic for Majestic Models 78, A, 79, 81 thru 86, 88 (Series 123-17, 124-21, 124-2-21). Is that what you're looking for? If so, PM me your e-mail and I'll send you a scan. Have to keep the original, its my only copy.

colectorad 06-20-2016 06:51 PM

PM sent.

init4fun 06-22-2016 08:03 AM

:thmbsp: I sent a PM also , asking about a schematic for a "Victorian model 600" Reel to Reel tape recorder ...

Kamakiri 06-22-2016 12:27 PM

Got your PM, sorry about the lag....I started a living room repaint and two Admiral 19A11s at the same time and got myself buried! :)

Figured I might as well answer here, because you never know....someone else in the future might be looking for it too. There's a Victoria model TR650 in Sams 520-16, which would be 1961.....but that's a transistor radio. Any chance there's any more manufacturer info on it?

Hi Tim , Thank You for responding and believe me , I have no problem whatsoever with the time since I posted being only last night and your response . I realize life is a buisy endeavor and I appreciate the help !

So , this was made by "Victorian Electronics LTD. Peoria , Illinois" and is serial number H36626 .

I got the 1963 year from an Ebay listing that was selling the exact same machine and the owner's manual being sold with it said it was a 1963 model . Of course I got mine at a yard sale , minus the manual , microphones , power cord , and any other accessories that may have originally came with it .

Edited to add photo :)

Kamakiri 06-22-2016 12:45 PM

Apparently, Sams has a separate tape recorder series....separate from the TV and radio Sams. Unfortunately, don't have any....and I don't see it listed in my Sams index either....

You need to search Allied and Lafayette catalogs from that era - they sold odd-named audio equipment by the droves. We used to find info that way, or an identical model rebadged as a Lafayette/Concord/Knight/Realistic, etc, that was listed in Sams. Often one manufacturer, many names....

Cheers,

:thmbsp: Well that's great to know that there were SAMS covering Tape Recorders , now all i gotta do is find one . I do appreciate you taking the time to look and I'll now search for the tape recorder series .

Cheers,

Thank You for the tip Brian , I'll bet this was sold as a few different brands because when I typed reel to reel tape recorder into Ebay's searchbar , I saw a couple that looked like mine but with different names , I'll have to go search them up again and note the different labels .

How about CTC 96 (A) Sams 1870-2?
Thanks.

DavGoodlin 06-24-2016 01:12 PM

Tim - I have a pretty solid run from 180 to 380 if'n you need some to fill in. I dumped all the ones higher than 1000 a few years ago, a mistake.

If you could scan-email 505-7 for a Magnavox AM-FM preamp, I'd be a happy minion.

You got it! Have it in hand and I'll do it tonight :)

maxhifi 06-28-2016 03:44 PM

1121-1 ?

Kamakiri 06-28-2016 07:53 PM

Should have it. Drop me a PM with your email address and if I have it I'll scan it in and email it tomorrow.

colectorad 06-30-2016 02:04 AM

madRad45 still hasn't responded...

Kamakiri 06-30-2016 05:44 AM

I have 221-7 pulled and sitting on my desk. PM me with your email address and I'll get it scanned and sent. Let me know if you need the whole thing or just certain sections.

madRad45 06-30-2016 11:13 AM

Hi Colectorad, I emailed the scan on 06/20 to the address you PM'd to me. Maybe there was some sort of issue, but I did not receive a "bounce" message or anything. Shall I try again? I'll also PM you my direct e-mail.
-Mark

colectorad 07-05-2016 07:45 PM

**Update!**

Sorry for the delay. As madRad45 stated, he did indeed send the scan immediately on June 20th, however, it would appear that 'Outlook.com' completely blocks messages with attachments from unknown senders. It didn't even reach my junk folder. When he re-sent me the message without the attachment, it ended up in my inbox with no issues. I then added him to my 'safe senders' list and he was able to send the file with no issues.

Thanks again to madRad45 and Kamakiri for their hard work and generosity!

Kevin Kuehn 11-23-2016 01:08 AM

Tim,

I'd be interested in 183-2 if you happen to have a spare copy. It's for a Bendix TM17C. No hurry. Thanks!

Kamakiri 11-23-2016 12:30 PM

Got it :)

Message me your address....

Kevin Kuehn 11-23-2016 01:39 PM

You got it, wow! I have a couple holes in my Sams from 1-38 and again at 131- the early 200's. Thanks a bunch for offering these. :thmbsp:

Notimetolooz 02-28-2017 11:32 AM

I've been away for some time. I've got a list of SAMS I could use. I looked up the numbers. 601-1 for a Silvertone, 874-3 for a Sears, 354-7 and 337-15-S for an Emerson. Thanks!

Kamakiri 02-28-2017 06:14 PM

I've got the model numbers noted and will dig through tomorrow :)

Chip Chester 02-28-2017 06:28 PM

Any luck on 77-3 for a Bell 2122 audio amp? (Not 2122A, B or C, just 2122)? (Post 2)

Thanks,
Chip
