The ultimate bom-chicka-wahwa room for a disco lady....:D

But does the bed spin? Very shag-a-delic, baby...

Yup, receiver POS Lloyds, Electrophonic or other such
trash. TV has Sylvania or Philco look to it. Not my
cup-o-tea. Kid was probably a spoiled brat that needed
a good going over with a swishy stick.

I bet the luckiest experience the owner got in that thing was seeing a favorite show come on.

Clue us in, as to whats a "Swishy stick"? It must be an east coast term!
I think, I remember seeing that picture somewhere years back.
It was probably built by some off-the-wall designer. :thumbsdn:

Probably Irish as my mother used the term. When she got pissed she
would run around the house yelling "wheres my swishy stick".
If we were lucky she didnt find it.
Grand Pa was worse. One nite my uncle cam home late & hid
under the bed. He couldnt find his shellelagh so he attacted him with a rake.
The weapons of choice for the Irish were shellelaghs or the shod foot.

Is Zeno your given name?
In Milwaukee, the only Zeno's I met were Polish.
My paternal Grandfather was Irish, hence my last name, "Nash".

Did she used to be a Catholic grammar school nun? They used either rulers or blackboard pointers to hit us kids... :thumbsdn:

No but Ma's aunt was. Sister Frances Leo. A real sweet heart.
She was a cook & a good one for being Irish.
A good lesson in immigration. Grand Pa had to sponsor her.
If she committed a crime or stopped working she would be sent back
at his expense. Way thing should be.

Swishy stick A.K.A switch was a thin green stem abt 3-4 ft long.
It could wrap around you & sting like hell.
Father was good with the belt. Knew just how to use it without
leaving a mark. I would take the belt any day.........

Quelle surprise.

The first assistant principal at a local high school was a nun. The place was just levelled, good riddance to ugly rubbish.
