This was at the Starvation Army for $5. Has one hell of a picture. Cabinet is mint. :thmbsp:

A good time for RCA, they had IT against most of the competition. Unpacked and delivered those for happy customers while in school:)

I used to see a lot of those, back in the '90's. They are good sets and the main trouble they gave was bad filter capacitors and loose connections in the tuner module. If you find one with no color, it's probably the 3.58 trimmer cap that either needs adjustment or replacement.

This one's great. I'll get a pic up of it running this weekend.

Great choice! Great catch!

Enjoy that beautiful set.

I think I got my '78 with the CTC88 chassis for 3 bucks minus my 25% worker's discount. Of all my sets it's been with me the longest. It was my first 70s color set. I still haven't fixed the vertical issue, haha.

I'll have to check the SA store in this area.
The store seems to be run by mostly volunteers and many times, the store isn't open at the posted times. :sigh:

We have two here that are open every day till 4 and closed Sunday. Once in awhile, something good comes in. I have been burned once or twice on game systems that wouldn't load. I bought a game cube there once that wouldn't work and then my mother in law bought one and it didn't work. Yet my wife got me an xbox there and it was mint and works like new.

It appears, they don't handle TV's anymore. :thumbsdn:
