= I get happier every day ! =

Like the title says, I grow happier each day ! Mostly this happens when
I take a browse through the ever growing list of high priced unsold
TV's on ebay or on Craigs List.

In addition to the air craft carriers with $1,200. Price tags, the occasional
stripped out ct-100 for $5K and a non-vacuum crt, I am happy to begin seeing
the tv's I have plenty of, and they are growing their price too!
Yes I have began dreaming of finally being able to sell off some of my
super-duper Sharp Linytron tv's for some really BIG Bucks !

I have a bunch of this type Linytron tv's. I usually pick them up for around
$10. - $20 - Remember I use to work for Sharp back in the very early
80's, So I like these sets a lot. They work well, each one I pick up really
needs nothing, and I have one as a daily driver since '88. Pretty good
for a set made in '84 I think....

I believe the price in this ebay ad is too low for this model, and I await the
coming years as I can see quality sets like this quickly going well over
the $500. ~ $900. And even topping the $2,000. mark possibly
by 2021...... I think I'll get me a motorhome and cruise the country....

Imagine all there is to see..... Maybe I'll see Lake Mead before the
non-existant global warming finally dries it up all together..........
Or maybe I can take the wife down to Florida and we can watch Elon
musk send one of his Model 3's to Mars or Saturn totally pissing off those
hundreds of people on stagnating waiting lists for one......

I'll Have to start looking.... Gotta get a really big one in case I find a few
more of those Linytrons along the way for cheap......

Wouldn't it be great if all old electronics were as revered as , say , a "king Louie the 365th" chair or some other (boring) antiques are ? People will lay out huge dollars for a chair , and yet something of such brilliant engineering as a machine that electronically reproduces moving pictures hardly gets a second glance from the greater majority of "antiques collectors" crowd . It is for this reason that I scoff at the idea of any consumer electronics made after the 1960s ever having any kinds of real antique collector market value , there just aren't that many of us now and I doubt there will be all that many in the future , that see the sheer awesomeness of our beloved vacuum tube devices . Even when the passing of time makes them rare , there will need to be folks who actually want them and want to collect them , and that kind of devotion even now seems reserved for only the early (and thus rare) sets .
