Worth getting?
A roundie at an upcoming estate sale. Should I try to get it?

If the price jibes with the CRT/general condition, why not?
I know I've seen that TV mask before....I wanna say it's Curtis Mathes. If I'm right then it is an RCA clone in the TV section, and a respectable CM designed audio system. |
If you can, grab those rabbit ears in the window too! Brass rods, no chrome. Great antenna - we used one for bench use until '80, when we got cable and used only the outdoor antenna for OTA checks of consoles.

They must have been into radio/TV/hi-fi looking at the other stuff at that sale.

The rabbit ears antenna may not be worth anything, as I think one of the "ears" (VHF dipoles) are missing. If the antenna is intact, however, with both ears, then by all means grab it when you pick up the TV. This type of indoor rabbit-ear antenna, which was made by Spico, is not terribly common these days (it dates to at least the early 1950s), so if you can find one it will be a nice piece of TV history. |
Ok, I'll see what I can do...

I bought one just like that in Indianapolis, like Sears it's a cheap version of the RCA ctc 15. It has a plastic bezel around the crt vs. Metal used by Rca and Magnavox, my guess is the set was built by Wells-Gardner.

The console radio is a 1937 Philco 37-650 but its in such shape that $20 would be high
