Strange ebay ad for 21" color CRT

I just love ads like this one.....

Absolutely outrageous price, ripoff shipping, says he's a TV enthusis but not a tech, doesn't know what CRT parts are AND this CRT is sold AS IS as a used takeout of an old set UNTESTED but he says "Bid with confidence"!!

At least he is honest about his uncertainty right?

Tom S 09-03-2012 09:09 PM

Nutz I think.

What is this guy on?? Thats the price of a 36" Sony Tube. LOL

snelson903 09-03-2012 10:23 PM

:screwy:the only thing he's sure about is wanting 900.00:lmao:

old_tv_nut 09-04-2012 09:30 AM

If perfect face and pegs the the test meters, maybe $400. Unknown condition, ~$0.00 due to no place rebuilding them. MHO and sticking to it.

sampson159 09-04-2012 09:43 AM

a little overpriced.does anyone have "dibs" on it?

Einar72 09-05-2012 10:42 PM

Someone bump the bid and see who yells - I do it all the time...

Geoff Bourquin 09-06-2012 12:05 AM

Anyone else notice this was added...

"BAD NEWS The CRT Test showed Barely any Emissions No Shorts, All Three Guns did light up. I will let all the watchers inform me as if there is still any interest in this tube. It is the "Nice" tube with the Rare Earth Phosphorus" so it may be a good candidate for a rebuild!"

zenithfan1 09-06-2012 12:12 AM

Yeah, in FRANCE! LOL! I got my like new 21GUP22 for 80 bucks...
This auction is worth about nothing now.....Too bad, these tubes, when GOOD produce a great picture.

marty59 09-09-2012 11:47 AM

Well, it sold. Maybe it will respond and wake up with a rejuvinator providing the seller didn't bang the heck out of it and ruin the thing.

Hummmm wonder who got it? :scratch2:

snelson903 09-09-2012 11:53 AM

im shocked someone bid on it really ,he must be desperite or ?

DaveWM 09-09-2012 12:45 PM

I corresponded with the guy, not sure how well the CRT was tested. If you really really needed the yoke and convergence board and convergence yoke to complete a project then I can see the 100$ and just hope the CRT test was not done "right"

Sandy G 09-09-2012 01:10 PM

"Yolks" are for eggiwegs, NOT Picture Tubes...(grin)

Ah man!!

hi_volt 09-16-2012 09:56 AM

The guy who bought it left the seller positive feedback, so it must have at least made it through shipping without damage. Maybe the tube wasn't being tested properly and the buyer got a good deal for around $150 (?)
