Taylor 31A Oscilloscope
 

I was down at the local auctions tonight dropping off some LCDs when I saw this old scope in the "antiques" sale.

I don't exactly need another old scope to repair, but for $5 I couldn't leave it there.

I've never heard of Taylor before. It appears to be an English brand. There are some Australian made components under the chassis, but they're probably from various past repairs.

It does use several Osram Z309 tubes, which I've never seen before.

You may be able to help me with the taylor oscilloscope you have, mine has had several of it valves robbed at some point so it would be great to see the positions of all of the ones in the top shelf please.

I missed your question earlier, but if you're still looking (or for others that google brings):

The valve sockets are not numbered on the chassis, nor is there a layout diagram.

Looking from front (CRT face) to back:

Top "shelf" -
Immediately behind the focus control - ECL80
The 3 behind the ECL80 are all Osram Z309s
Immediately behind the power switch/intensity control - 12AT7
The 2 7 pin behind the 12AT7 are both Osram Z77

The bottom "shelf" contains only a 12AT7 (assumed - all but the "T7" has rubbed off) and a 5V4G rectifier.

Never seen/heard of the Osram Z309 or Z77, though google suggests the Z77 may be compatible with the EF91.
