They where good radios? How many of the components where still Made in U.S.A.?

Most GE electronics were junky. Some radios were VERY good, the ones with AM
RF amps & better audio. See the Super Radio series here

There were others in the past & almost all brands had a premium
AM radio on & off over the years.

I don't know about the clock radio but the AM/FM portable is a good and reliable radio. I have one and it has played daily without fail since new and picks up stations that others that I have had couldn't. So the portable is one of their better ones from that time period in my opinion.

I thought the 70's and 80's stuff from GE were pretty solid.

I have a 30s vintage GE table set. A-70 set. Build quality is hilariously over the top, especially for a GE. All metal tubes, RF stage, solidly built, and shielded all over inside.

Can get Ontario on it from PA no issue
