Out of the way, not out of reach

Hi i should have started out here first instead of jumping in with both feet and posting threads well anyways i am a days drive north of Seatle Wa.
i like tvs and radios my tvs start from 1946 and go up to a Sony KV4000
the radios well from peanuts, to geranium. When i get more familiar with this site i will post pictures and tell some stories. With the depth of knowledge from members i have seen so far this is going to be blast!

Kewl ! I've got a KV-4000, & its bigger bro, the 4100. My 4000 has red "blooming" issues, and the 4100's tape player doesn't work anymore-Needs new belts, I think, but who cares ? Have a few radios, from a 1927 Grebe Synchrophase to a mid-60s Rohde & Schwarz military SW receiver. Welcome to the Monkeyhouse ! (grin)

Thanks. I'd say it's a combination of location, luck, and the economy. There were loads of sets around Chicagoland being unloaded last year by folks in need of some quick cash. Not so much this year though. Admiral, Motorola, Zenith and others were all based here so they seem to be more plentiful than in other areas.
