1950 Philco dual tonearm phonograph

Here's an oddball 1950 Philco AM radio/phonograph combination. This one uses a large, heavy tonearm for 78 rpm records and a smaller, lighter tracking tonearm for 33 1/3 rpm LP's. As you can see, it needs a major bath and the LP cartridge is gone. The chassis is a simple AA5 design. Anyone ever seen or worked on one of these dual tonearm models?

I have an upright TV/radio combo with that turntable under the lid, but haven't touched it. I am surprised to see any Philco product of the period with no loktal tubes whatsoever.

Mr radiotvnut. If you look at the schematic You'll find that this is a very interesting departure from the old boring AA5 design. This set has a voltage doubler B+ circuit that provides 185 volts plate voltage to the 35L6 for increased output. Items like this make some Philco models collectable. Also check out the use of dial cord as some of the linkages in the record changer.

I was not aware of the power supply configuration in this radio; but, I know the '46 and '48 model "record in slot" models used a voltage doubler power supply.
