Small Transistor Radio collection

Small in the size of the radios, and the size of the collection, but I intend to increase it as I find them.

I do not have many transistor radios, but I do like them, and buy them when I see them. Here are some of the ones I have not pictured yet.
All described left to right.

Times Sputnik AM Radio, Panasonic AM-FM pocket(top) Radio, Sony AM "Cube" Radio(bottom), and RCA FM-AM Radio(I use this one a lot).

Miracle Whip AM Radio, Coca-cola AM Radio, and a Stutz bearcat AM "Car" Radio(front).

GE AM Radio, Truetone AM Radio, Zephyr AM Radio, Elgin 10 Transistor AM Radio

Hey, I do like that Sony cube!!! Nice collection!

Thanks! The Sony cube sounds spectacular for the size, and pulls more AM stations than most of my other transistor radios.

Our radio station, K105, gave away 105 (get it?) Sony FM Cube radios when we signed on back in '70. All of them were avacado green.

Alex, I LOVE that Panasonic AM/FM!!! :thmbsp: Gorgeous!

Hm... methinks I have an ancient Continental AM pocket radio stashed away somewhere...

The Panasonic is a good performer too!
I wanna see the continental! :D

I love that Zephyr. I've been trying to find some reverse-painted radios like it...but no luck so far.

It's around here somewhere... as soon as I find it, I'll put up a pic. I do believe it even has a leather case on it!

Excellent collection - really brings back some memories. I think we had the Miracle Whip radio - haven't thought of that one in years! In the late 60's I remeber having a can shaped translucent blue transistor radio. It was kind of like a see-through can made of blue plexiglass with the speaker mounted on top like a lid and the controls on the lower section. It was cool because you could see the electronics inside through the blue plexi. I think it was either a GE or Panasonic - ever seen one in your travels?

I too like the pink Zephyr. Great looking set. I have a feeling your collection will grow quickly. It's an addiction that's hard to shake :)
I started with one, then two, three, four, etc etc.....Then I needed more shelves and more display space.....and so on.
