AWA Convention near Rochester NY coming up

http://www.antiquewireless.org/annual-convention.html

I haven't been in years, but I plan to be there. As I remember, this convention was HUGE. Is anyone planning on attending?

No idea there was such a thing...... Maybe I'll send you my old car phone
and you can give it to them one year..... The car is an '89 who knows
maybe it was put in near then.... It worked up until 3 years ago, calls were
on some pay as you go analog system at $4.95 to connect, and $4.95/min.
must have been a real rich person's phone near the end..... I wonder how many
takers they had at that price..... It was dam clear I will say that.....

Yah, pretty funny..... Maybe with that title, they need to think about adding at least
ONE PICTURE, maybe of a RADIO.....

Even the Museum page is not straight forward in saying the have radios.... "assets" they
say they have...... and NOT ONE PICTURE !

I ain't goin there....... E V E R ! ! ! !

And I ain't sending them my old car phone either ! ! ! !

Yah, I know radio use to be called wireless, about 100 years ago..... Long since given up......

This place is pretty impressive and is on my bucket list along with the ETF.
The inventor's display is pretty thorough and even includes electricity's pioneers.

The National Capitol Radio TV Museum in Bowie, Maryland aspires to this level but at present their space is limited.

Seems all their pictures are put up using a script, NoScript blocked them. I don't
think I have run across a website in a long long time where pictures were not
simply put in the page. Yes they look like quite a collection of very interesting
wireless sets of all kinds.... And some of their early phones look quite interesting.....

Thanks to bandersen for putting links to pages with pictures. I still didn't get any pictures,
so I checked my script thingie and turned it off, and the pictures loaded.....

Reminds me of the days of Win 95. My brother got a new computer, Gateway Luxury
Touring Sedan, Looked like a big Buick up front, I mean it this computer had a "grill".
Anyway, the modem was somehow set at 300baud, he would go type in an address, then
go to bed, get up the next morning and see if the pictures loaded.... When talking to him,
he was always quite surprised if I said I went to several websites in one day.... He use to
ask "did you get pictures...?" He had the thing for a few months and could not understand
what all the hype was about this "internet" he thought it was quite a waste..... His computer
was a middle of the road 75mhz Gateway Desktop, Once I reset the modem to try 56K then 33K
he connected quite fast, and got pictures several times an hour.....
