Searching for a philco full dress console

SEARCHING FOR A PHILCO FULL DRESS CONSOLE!!!

In any condition folks!!

come to find out my very elderly grandmother (87) had one of those back in the day and her seeing a full dress ad I recently purchased, has her asking every time I visit the home if I’ve found “the most valuable piece of my collection”!? she’s very in and out with early onset Alzheimer’s but I wanna be able to tell her I found this & show her!!

IN A PERFECT WORLD SHED LIVE TO SEE IT RESTORED!

MY ONLY PLAN IS TO RESTORE AND LOVE IT!

TOP DOLLAR PAID

Never heard that name applied to any philco.

Might help to post a picture and or model number.

This ad, just posted on the Predicta thread shows the “full dress” model, which looks good from either side.

One of my neighbors had one and it was badged "Predicta".
It had the better chassis with the transformer and 5U4, but the same lousy CRT.
It was a sharp looking set. I don't remember if it had the channel selector knob that popped up to turn the set. It was neat but another trouble source.

Philcobah -- check with Steve McVoy at the Early TV Museum. He may have a beat-up one in the stash of old sets. I saw one there a couple of years ago...

Yep, the blonde one in the back. Last I knew it was still there.

If the one at the ETF is for sale and you don't buy it before the lunch break I might try and buy it. The styling is growing on me.

Well I got exceptionally lucky and definitely snagged that blonde In the back, although I’m not entirely convinced it’s not a light pale mahogany color as the regular blonde looks much more yellow with even the crt cover and this one was a different color altogether. Regardless thank you so much to everyone for the help; I had been working on that seller for 6 months prior to etf was just afraid he didn’t want to let it go. Fast forward to today and in addition to the rough etf set I scored an immaculate mahogany one in Maine!!! Thank the lord!! :) updates on the restoration soon in another thread! The mahogany full dress and then the ash white/blonde one! You can see the quality difference..

They're both gorgeous! Congratulations. That's one of my bucket list TVs.

We look forward to lots of details about the impending restorations!
