1942 Background Music System
 

This article is from the March 1942 Radio Retailing magazine. It describes how a Sylvania tube plant created a background music and PA system in their factory and how it improved production. Says they had the system for 10 years. Don't know if they were the first, but they had to be one of the first to use it.
