The links on my site are a mix of old radio, tube audio, and a few guitar amp sites. I am slowly adding some reference material myself, but for now, plenty of links.

Anybody have any antique car radio links. I have a guy who wants me to clean and restore a couple of 49 Chrysler car radios and an original De Soto speaker.

Here is an old radio website that is among my favorites:

http://www.radiophile.com/index.html

Yes, it's just another collection of antique radios, but it is done exceptionally well. Rare and interesting makes and models, excellent pictures, and fun and informative narratives, make this one of the best. One can spend hours just browsing the many categories. (WARNING: Difficult to spend much time here without severe jealousy pangs!)

An excellent and quite interesting site, plus it's easy to move around.

World's Largest Collection of Antique Radios

There is a place in Orange County, CA. that has, get this, the world's largest collection of antique radios (all in working condition), classic cars (all in showroom condition), antique telephones and microphones and slot machines.
Go to www.astorclassics.com and check it out.

He has turned it all into an events center for people to rent out for events like wedding receptions and big parties. I have been there for an event. It is UNBELIEVABLE.

barrynsue 10-23-2007 06:08 PM

Not as comprehensive as I would like but here is a link to my Radio collection which also includes my audio pieces. Not all was mine as a large collector in NC assembled most of the radios (which I later purchased) but some nice pieces nonetheless. I should label all of the pics but never got around to it.

Good golly, man, you have about all I've ever thought of collecting, both in old radios and audio gear.

Some collection indeed! Mazeltov, you got it all.

Not really. Remember this saying, grasshopper?

"If I save the whales, where do I keep them?"

barrynsue 10-23-2007 09:41 PM

I had posted a list in another discussion (McMurdo Silver II post) of all that is shown in the pics but didn't want to duplicate unless you folks have any interest.
