The Wizard of Speed and Time

One of my buddies was bored one night and decided to try and call Mike Jittlov, the star and basically the director of the film The Wizard of Speed and Time. Not much of a popular movie but over time it gathered a small fanclub.

Anyways it seems after the firm that shot the movie went bankrupt Jittlov got back the prints of the film and the rights. He says it's not likely that a re-release of the film will ever happen but he was looking for a facility to transfer the film to a digital format. In the meantime though he gave my buddy (and pretty much anyone else) permission to rip the laserdisc version of the film which is apparently the best quality version of the movie to exist outside of film and host it anywhere so long as it is available for free. He also added that if someone tries to file a takedown for whatever he'd do what he could to greenlight it for distribution because well, he holds the rights.

Meanwhile the film can be found on Youtube.

If there is a movie me or anyone I know of would recommend for classic Hollywood animation effects this would be the movie.

Never heard of it, but it sounds like it may be worth seeing.

I'll add that to my movie list, been going through a mid-life crisis by watching 80's movies. :D

I just bought a mint copy of "Jaws". The last time, I saw that movie, had to be the late 70's or early 80's. I knew what it was about, but I couldn't remember the content. It was fun, seeing it again. :thmbsp:

I watched the whole movie twice, and loved the movie and it's special effects. I had never seen it before, and it's quite different than all the junk out there today. Fast action, and a simple plot. Great animation.
