Dont quote my but I believe you should be looking for minimum of 25kv at min brightness. Too low will overheat the flyback hljust as too much ma draw on the horizontal cathode efficiency would do. Also you should monitor the grid voltage of the h output tube as well for I believe-55 to -60v at pin 2 or 6.
