(How many technicians or shops were buying/requesting NEW tube caddies in 1976? )

1976 was about the end of new tube sets but almost all road
work was old tube consoles. As years went by the tube caddie
became a module caddie then a parts caddie. Often they were
a free premium like buy the 1977 module kit & get free caddie.
One unusual use was by our local EMT's. They liked the set-up
of the Zenith caddie & bought one to make a first aid kit.
Much cheaper than the real ones. That idea spread around & many
towns had them in ambulances & cruisers. One incident in town
a fireman went to a ME & the man told him " my TV is fine,
go get a first aid kit".
