I have a well-used 1st generation Superadio on my nightstand, and it gets run all night quite often as I fall asleep listening to it (usually on WSM Nashville.) I bought it at a hamfest a few years back for two dollars because I felt sorry for the lady selling it - she looked like she was there selling a few things because she needed the money. For two dollars I thought "why not" and didn't even expect it to work. There's paint or fingernail polish on the dial marking a couple of stations that I've never tried to remove.
