The older set looks like some hospital sets that were in use in my area.
The Sylvania and Philco names were bought from GTE by NAP in '81. For a few years, NAP kept some of the old GTE designs in production and some sets got a NAP chassis; but, the cabinet designs didn't change that much. That's why you need to pull the back to see exactly what's in it.
