Well actually what I was mostly curious about is why that radio had those three preset tuners and why they only covered the lower end of the FM dial instead of the whole FM dial.
Just seems odd to me.
Really strange how they are slider pots but manage to tune the radio, even though it has the regular slide rule tuner also.
If you look at the photo you will see them labeled FM1, FM2, and FM3. They would tune the radio from 88MHz to around 94MHz. By pressing the black buttons on the top of the radio it would select from either of those 3 slider controls or the main regular tuning mechanism for the dial.
