My response is usually "hello". If I got such a call and knew I was being called by a scamming computer I'd probably say in my best Jimmy Carl Black as Lonesome Cowboy Burt imitation "speakin' Atcha! What can I do you fer?"
Given the land line is the folk's if I answered that I'd probably say "they are not available presently I can take a message after the pen clicks...Click".
One thing that drives me up a wall is some of the family cell phones including mine are still on our old numbers from when we got the phones back when we lived in moron-land Florida. I've long lost count of the number of wrong numbers from that area code that have dialed me....Sometimes repeatedly. You know you live among dummies when a good percentage can't dial a phone or give/take a number correctly.

My folks had similar happen some years back, mom handled it in a more proper, but much less amusing way.
