They are beyond "great performers," they are amazing and very well built! I have one that is a bit older than this one that has never been restored and still produces a great picture and sound. I must say that in recent years it takes about five minutes for the width to spread out, but it takes me way more than five more minutes to get moving in the morning than it did just ten years ago! Obviously my set is ready for some caps, but I can't help but marvel at the fact that a 60 year old electronic gadget of any kind still performs decently, so as of yet I have not touched a thing.
