I know many of you have been staying up nights, worrying about identification of this speaker. To summarize this thread: Acquired an Atwater Kent 37 paired with an unknown model of Utah speaker. (Previous photos no longer available)
Notice on the underside of the base there are two threaded columns for screw attachment.
I was doing some research for RadioMuseum, and I came across this ad:
So, it's actually a Findlay-Apex-FADA-Utah! speaker. At the time of manufacture Utah speakers were made in Salt Lake City. I think they moved to Chicago in the 1930's.
Finally, after eight years, we can close this thread and everyone can get some sleep!
