Hamilton Beach mixer

A stop at a flea market today found this gem. A Hamilton Beach model 30 milk shake mixer circa 1942. All $35 of it.

Some mild crome pitting and crusty corrosion were helped with some steel wool and Windex. Not perfect but looking vintage. It is also 18.5" tall and will not fit under the cabinets. This thing would mix cement.

The power cord is like new and it came with the original stainless steel cup. It's too clean to have ever been in a malt shop. Home used is my guess. It is two speed and I ran it about an hour to break the brushes in again. No problems, no overheating. Off to the local dairy tomorrow for ice cream. Not bad for 80 years old.

It joins my other kitchen collections. A GE three blade mixer. Double bubble percolator. Toastolator. Eskimo portable mixer. Sunkist juicer. NIB Manning Bowman tabletop broiler. HB Mixette hand mixer.
