Upon getting it home i figured i'd play with it a bit to see how good i can make it look. the main problem is there is too much green. i found 3 pots colored R, B and G i can barely get the green low enough to make a white image. is this a symptom of a weak tube or is there a board problem, here are some pics of the tiny chassis "my how they changed in 10 years from the vertical CC2 chassis.

Early post war TVs have the charm from the front of a big cabinet with a commically small screen, while first gen single/dual board ( ie no chassis full of modules) solid state consoles have the charm from the back of a big CRT and cabinet dirven by a commically small chassis... you could rent out all that empty space.
