Here's another piece of gear I just picked up. It's a TV-50 Genometert by the Moss Electronic Dist Co. Inc (MEDCO) AKA Superior Instrument Co. (SICO). They are infamous for cutting corners where ever possible including using oddball surplus tubes.
Quoting from the manual this device is a:
- R.F. Signal Generator
- Audio frequency generator
- Horizontal and vertical bar generator
- Cross-hatch generator
- Dot pattern generator
- Marker Generator
It's in decent shape and came with one old probe.
It has one 7193 tube with the grid and plate shorted as the AC rectifier and two 6B1000 tubes as the oscillators.
Not a whole lot going on under the chassis
Here's one of those 6B1000 tubes.
I can't believe there's do vernier drive on the tuning capacitor! It's got to be a nightmare to dial in a specific frequency.
I'll do a quick recap and see what it can do.
