Thank you. It's really primitive and that's it's charm. It was made available in January of 1922 which was about as early a home radio receiver can get. It costs about $25-$30 which was not cheap at the time, but less expensive then a tube set. For instance the 3-tube Westinghouse RC with tubes and a Vocarola speaker would've cost about $180 at the time. Within a couple of years though the tube sets became reasonably priced and crystal sets became a mere child's toy.
