The prices are in Brazilian Cruzeiros, a currency that no longer exists ( the government changed the name of the Brazilian currency from Cruzeiros to Reais in 1994 ). The prices are expensive, color TVs in 1980 were not affordable in Brazil to those below the middle class line, the poor had to satisfy themselves with black and white TVs.
