Even when you put the safety glass back on I'm thinking it does not offer the same protection as it did when it was bonded to the tube.
True it does provide some impact resistance but overall if the tube breaks it's still going to scatter glass all over because the plastic lamination that's supposed to hold it together is gone, possibly even worse because now you have two layers of loose glass.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
