Hi redk9258.
As I read online this is a common problem in older JVC VCRīs.
And I saw this video on youtube that as the same problem as me and he replaced the photo interruptor and it worked.

Testing it as in the video I have the same symptoms, and when I press PLAY and PAUSE, the VCR remains in PAUSE and donīt stop, because at that state itīs no reading values from the photo interruptor.
