Wife and I bought a Mitsubishi when we got married in 89. We're still watching it to this day and I've not so much as ever cracked the lid. Apparently they used very high quality electrolytics during that time frame. The picture still looks incredible. It's the newest TV we have. Dumb luck I guess.
