Looking at the pix you have two obvious problems
1) vertical, most likely caps.
2) No snow, most likely an IF transistor.
Add to that almost every electrolytic cap in the set needs changing.
Also the set is physically very unfriendly to work on.
If I made a list of sets for a first repair / restore this would be at the bottom.
Find an old Zenith from the early 60's to start learning
They are
very common & often work when found.
