If I recall, after MCA pulled the funding plug and Philips ran off to go play ball with Sony, Pioneer bought the remains of DiscoVision Associates and held onto it as they kept the format on life support and bought back various patents. I think in the later years it hung around as a shell company which to keep their optical disc division under an alternate name, rather than Pioneer. Beyond that though yes there wasn't much else happening there. Their contact information just forwarded to Pioneer's offices, formerly the DiscoVision Carson plant
