Hello, Laserdisc, and welcome to VK. I had relatives who lived near Chattanooga, but they are long since deceased.
I still have a Panasonic VCR I bought new over ten years ago. It still works every bit as well as it worked the day I bought it. I guess what has been said about Panasonic VCRs, that they simply refuse to die, is true. I had another Panny VCR with VCR Plus+ before this one, but a tape jammed in it and I had to practically wreck the thing to get it out.
All I have left from that VCR is the remote, which works very well with my present Panasonic VCR. The VCR Plus+ programming buttons don't work, since my current Panasonic VCR does not have it; the machine was made after that feature was discontinued on Panny VCRs and wouldn't have worked nowadays anyway, since local newspapers no longer print VCR Plus+ codes in their TV listings.
