My 1974 Civic had a bad water pump back in 1983 - and my 17-year-old sister needed to borrow it. She swapped it out, drove it and did a right good job too. Dad and I were no where around, so she somehow figured it out on her own.
She also replaced a light switch once WITHOUT pulling the fuse and without getting zapped, so she has her moments too.....
Yes, I do miss the easy, No-ECU cars....
