I had an RF-5000 multiband for a long time and liked it a lot. It really sucked in the signals. Nice bass for that size of cabinet. Traded "up" to a Sony CRF-160 and wished later I hadn't.
Now my big old portable is a Magnavox D-2935- beat to hell but i haven't heard a baseball game sound better on anything else. It helps to put it near a grill and a few cold beers.
