Just a rumor - 22 top-load models between Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore and GE with top load. Many are smaller cu. ft models, but still available. The LGE and Samsung lobby lost the battle to place gov't restrictions. I guess many missed the 60 Minutes episode exposing LG, Braun, Philips and Samsung's lobbying and their outright lies - all designed to deep six American washer manufacturing.
Yeah, politics aren't to be discussed - I was merely stating fact.
All regulatory efforts are currently aimed at ENERGY efficiency - no longer a water issue.
