Been a long trip, but its a runner
The restuffing went pretty well, as you can see, she lost a few pounds along the way...
Got lucky with the shadowmeter, looks like it was replaced once and this one is in great shape...
Took a crash course in tuning it up, but there is a definite improvement...
Have a friend whose gonna do the cabinet Other than a few tweaks, im calling it done..
Funny story about this particular radio, i had a feeling ide seen it before. Turns out i encountered it years before the yard sale.. It was a decoration in a diner me and my gal would frequent for breakfast. Ide eyeball this radio as i ate my omelette and thought "ide like to get that running"... I recently ran across an old pic from the diners page (long since closed) and sure enough, theres a pic of it, and the details match perfectly.. And after the diner closed, i just happen to be where they happen to be selling off pieces of the old diner..
And now its alive... Funny how fate works..
